About Me!

Hi everyone and welcome to my blog.

I’m a 37 year old single mum to two beautiful kids living in little ol Adelaide in Australia.

I have loved paper and all the goodies that go along with it since I was a kid. I discovered scrapbooking while being a stay at home mum to my first child over 12 years ago. I absolutely fell in love. I already had a passion for photography and this seemed like a match made in heaven. Needless to say I was hooked.

When I was pregnant with my second child I developed Psoriatic Arthritis which is a debilitating Auto Immune disease. I have been in a wheelchair ever since as unfortunately medicine has struggled to keep my symptoms under control.

After I separated from my husband in 2009 I became a Stampin Up! Demonstrator. It was what I needed to keep me busy and distracted from what was happening around me. Unfortunately After two years I had to give it up as my health deteriorated and I couldn’t afford to keep it going. I am so grateful to the time I had with the company though. It was lots of fun and what I needed at the time.

Since then my little hobby has expanded and I’ve discovered other elements to crafting which have taken hold of me and drawn me in. Mixed media being the biggest one. I love the freedom of creating with a variety of mediums. I’ve loved learning how to use certain products and look forward to expanding my knowledge further. Every week I seem to learn something new. I’ve had the pleasure of working and taking classes with some amazing people like Anna Dabrowska (aka Finnabair), Heidi Swapp, Kim Jeffress and Jamie Doughtery to name a few.

I hope you enjoy looking around. Please feel free to ask questions and leave comments. You can also follow me on instagram. My username is terriscrafts.
